Note: I'm alil bit distracted that I barely watch this show since at the same time I was watching the previous episode of X-Factor Australia and also switching channels for the UAAP Cheerdance Competition. Amazing UP!

Here's my ranking:
Allen listening to judges comments
  1. Daddy's Home
  2. KZ
  3. Jeric and Gab
  4. Allen
Who might be at the bottom:
  • Allen
  • Daddy's Home
  • Jeric
Review:

Wrong song choice. Period

Gabriel, he did it perfectly but not as memorable as how Paolo Santos did it. I agree with what Judge Gary said, he should not move at stage, nababawasan ang impact ng song.

KZ, good version (I barely saw this one, it was one of my least fave Adele song to begin with)

Jeric, good version, the dancers are abit of a distraction, I agree with the comment of Charice on this Careless Whisper was his best performance to date.

Daddy's Home, finally their blending were smooth.. sana lagi na lang may sakit ang isa sa kanila.. joke.. they were amazing tonight!

Medyo naging prominent ang mga covers at revivals dahil sa Internet at lalo na sa Youtube, pero ang tanong has any of the remaining Top 5 able to make a decent version that is believable enough to be a single if ever they'll have an album someday?

Ehem! But enough about my rant about our daunting OPM trend.
Finally, we got to see some honest critique from the judges today. I don't hate the guy, I just hate how they use him on the show.

Thoughts about the elimination results:

The bottom two last night were Daddy's Home and Jeric Medina, in which the Judges' vote resulted to a deadlock. The text votes turn out revealed Jeric had the least public votes which eliminated him from the competition.

As much as I like Jeric, (he got the appeal, the voice quality and the looks) the only problem is... he's not consistent enough with his vocals althroughout the competition (except for his Careless Whisper performance several weeks ago). Nandun na ung boses pero may kulang. I would have liked him to stay more but I feel he does not deserve to win the title. But neither do Daddy's Home. Still, I won't mind if the Daddy's get to a close 3rd or 4th for that matter.

Now, last night there was a controversial tweet of one of the judges that sparked numerous comments by which the said tweet irked some fans, netizens and audience.

Let me remind u all, XFPH is not about me or any judge/mentor. It SHOULD be about the future of this industry & the show not about US!
We should not play w/ these finalists dreams just to have the winningest team. Decision Sunday should NEVER be personal!
Someone was insanely mad for the elimination result huh... (see usage of exclamation points).

Have just been told my voicing put or venting makes me look stupid so I am stopping. See u next week
It has been brought to my attention by angeli v that I hurt the feelings of Charice while speaking my mind. For this I apologize to Charice

Sudden outburst can sometimes lead to petty vent out feelings. 'Cause when we're emotional we forget to think and think clearly of what we need to say. We don't want it that way but then, sad to say, we can never take those words back.

What's done is done. All you can do is apologize really but I think the necessary thing to do is to learn self-restraint that varies on the situation. Think before you speak.

Congrats to UP Fighting Maroons!!

Disclaimer: You can sing a song as technical as how you want it to be but even that is not enough, in some ways you have to own the song just make it your own; if you can touch people with it and bring them to places then that's the magic of how a song should feel.
